l learned this in college. Many employers r choosing employees with a high Emotional Intelligence (EI) than because of high IQ's. Many jobs require so many different types of work. l find that people with high IQ tend to be ''one task'' focused. With people with high emotional intelligence, they seem to multitask better & to be able to handle situational changes better.
Good news is that u can improve ur Emotional Intelligence. Most employers just do not know how to do it. I'd check out people like Dale Carnegie.
