l have been offered to opportunity to buy the leasehold & stock for an existing unisex hairdressers on a main road location. It includes the fixtures, stock and is on a main road location. The interior has 4 work stations and one self employed hairdressor who takes 50% of the takings.

As l have only been in a hairdressers as a customer,what it is like to to run a saloon and the potential pitfalls?

There could be a lot of pit falls especially in this economy. You should speak with a financial or business consultant. l would say that it is not a good idea at the moment.

You are taking over a ailing business.

You need a good look at the books. Is that 50% of the nett or the gross? Can you afford more staff?
